Destin Golf Cart Rentals currently advertises a six-passenger low speed vehicle (LSV) for $390 to $775 per weekly rental, depending on the season, plus applicable tax. Delivery and pickup are included in its advertised service area. A shorter or longer stay needs a custom quote. Here is how to estimate the real cost and decide whether an LSV fits your trip.
Published weekly LSV rental prices
| Season | Published dates | Weekly price |
| Winter | October 24 to March 5 | $390 plus tax |
| Spring | March 6 to May 14 | $549 plus tax |
| Summer | May 15 to August 6 | $775 plus tax |
| Fall | August 7 to October 23 | $549 plus tax |
These are the dates and prices published on the company’s rates page when checked September 23, 2026. The page describes weekly rates as seven consecutive nights. Confirm which season applies to a stay crossing a rate boundary, the exact return time, availability, and the total including tax before booking.
What is included
The published weekly offer covers a vehicle seating up to six, delivery and pickup in the advertised service area, and required equipment including headlights, turn signals, and a seat belt for each passenger. The company describes its vehicles as licensed and insured. Its rates page lists free delivery for Destin, Crystal Beach, Miramar Beach, Frangista Beach, Santa Rosa Beach, Grayton Beach, and Blue Mountain Beach; call about other addresses.
If you need a cooler, phone holder, USB charging, a child seat, or beach gear, ask whether it is included with the particular LSV or available separately. Also ask whether any community charges, deposit, damage responsibility, or optional equipment apply to your booking. A written total is more useful than a weekly headline price.
What about a two-day or shorter-than-week rental
The current rates page says daily rentals have a two-day minimum and asks customers to call for availability and pricing. It also offers custom quotes for extended stays. Do not divide the weekly price by seven to estimate the daily price; request a quote for your exact dates.
When is renting an LSV worth it
The lowest published weekly rate is the winter rate of $390 plus tax. Spring and fall are each $549 plus tax; summer is $775 plus tax. Price alone does not determine value: count the short trips you can actually make from your lodging on legal roads, and check whether your beach access or destination has parking for an LSV. An LSV can help carry passengers and beach gear on local trips, but it may add little value when you can already walk or when a prohibited road blocks your route.
An LSV is a local transportation option. It does not replace a car for the airport, long-distance travel, or roads where it cannot operate. Neither a six-passenger rating nor a small footprint guarantees a parking space; use one designated seat and belt for each rider and comply with child restraint rules.
Check the route before paying
Florida generally permits LSVs on roads posted at 35 mph or less, subject to additional local restrictions. Destin prohibits LSV travel along US Highway 98 and State Road 293. The city allows crossing US 98 only between approved LSV roads. In Walton County, the Sheriff’s Office prohibits LSV travel on US 98, sidewalks, and bike paths and describes permitted US 98 crossings as four-way intersections. An LSV cannot be driven onto the beach in Destin. Your lodging address, destination, parking rules, and private community rules all matter.
