Years ago, long before golf carts needed to be street legal in Destin, we bought our first golf cart at a yard sale for $800 (See picture of our 1st cart). We used to drive around Destin in the evenings to soothe our little baby to sleep. It quickly became one of the highlights of each day. My wife and I own a vacation rental business called www.WhiteSandVacationRentals.com. Once while checking our tenants in on Saturday they expressed to us how much they would love it if they had a golf cart or something like that to carry all of their beach stuff back and forth to the beach. Eureka, a light went off in my head!  I asked, “How much would you be willing to pay for something like that”? When they answered, “$200”, I was ecstatic and raced home with my truck to pick it up and deliver it. The very next week at our next check in the golf cart was still there and I went ahead and offered it to them as well. They too were thrilled to have a chance to rent a golf cart for the week. Within a month of consistent rentals I had paid for my first golf cart. After receiving extraordinarily positive feedback from all of our guests who were using the golf carts, we decided to stop renting them out and started including them with our vacation rental properties. Once we started including golf carts with our beach homes, of course we added that to our website. Google then picked us up with the keywords of “Destin Rentals” and “Street Legal Golf Cart.” After about the 500th phone call we received for golf cart rentals and telling people, “Sorry, we rent houses out, not golf carts”… Eureka another light went off! We searched out the name www.DestinGolfCartRentals.com and the rest is history. Now we have a fleet of beach carts available!
